S Y N E R G Y has implemented a guild organizational structure. The objective of this is three-fold:
Following is a list of guild ranks, terms, and responsibilties:
INITIATE
Initial rank within the guild structure. All new applicants are given this rank, and maintain it until completion of a 1 month trial period (though a /gquit or /gkick might occur at anytime during the trial period). At the end of the trial period, the Officers and Councillors will have a majority vote to either promote the Initiate to Member or give the Initiate the opportunity to /gquit the guild. Poor behavior and violation of guild rules during the trial period will result in a warning followed by a /gkick. Anyone receiving a /gkick is barred from future membership. Initiates have no responsibilities other than to follow guild rules. Event participation is encouraged. Initiates may not withdraw from guildbank.
Please note: Initiates can only have their main character in the guild.
MEMBER
Members are those Initiates who succesfully complete the 1 month trial period and are accepted into the guild. As noted above, promotion to Member status is by majority vote of Officers. Members have no responsibilities other than to follow guild rules. Event participation is encouraged.
Once an initiate has attained member status, their alternative characters (Alts) can be invited to the guild.
VETERAN
Veterans are those Members who maintain a good membership status for 6 months, actively participate in guild events, and do their part to help with guild progression such as helping guildmates with quests, instances, etc. Promotion to Veteran status is a majority vote by Officers. More significantly, Veterans are now considered eligible for the Council.
RAID COUNCILOR
Raid Councilors are those Members or Veterans who distinguish themselves with good membership status, actively participate in guild sanctioned raids, and actively and constructively communicate via chat (in-game or website), Ventrilo, and these forums. Promotion of Members or Veterans to the Raid Council is done by majority vote by the Officers. Raid Councilors are approved to post raids on the raid scheduler tool, and such events will be considered guild sanctioned and given staffing priority over non-sanctioned events. Raid Councilors who have successfully completed 1 term and have also acheived Veteran status are eligible for the position of Officer.
OFFICER
Officers are responsible for governing the guild in areas such as rules authoring and enforcement, voting on Initiate/Member/Veteran/Councillor status, recruiting, content direction, policy management, and member communication (chat, forum, vent). Officers are appointed by Guild Master and majority vote by Officers. Officers who choose to step down from their responsibilities are honorably discharged, given Councillor status, and are eligible for Officer Emeritus nomination. A Councillor is then chosen to assume the vacant Officer position.
GUILD MASTER
The guildmaster is essentially the same as an Officer, expect the GM is the public figurehead of the guild on wow forums and Armory. The GM has all the same responsibilities of the Officer position. The GM has added responsibility of posting guild wide communications to all guild ranks, such as State of the Guild addresses, Rules, etc. The GM may step down from responsibilities and assume Officer or Councillor position.
Notes:
If anyone has any questions, comments, or feedback, please let the officers know. Thanks!
